Dancing with nature
The wetland is the main ecological center of the South Campus. In terms of the volume configuration of the building, the whole building is divided into two buildings before and after , facing the wetland with low three-story buildings. Use roof greening as a link to the wetland ecological corridor, and extend green space on the facade in layers to reduce the impact on the existing landscape; arrange the nine-story main building to face Baoshan Road and continue the existing skyline of TSMC , To block road noise from entering the campus.
Follow the sustainable campus planning-make good use of green building technology to achieve energy-saving and carbon-reducing sustainable buildings.
Dialogue with the existing environment
Continuing the height of the environmental building, the ground floor retreats to echo the existing square of TSMC with open space, creating a flexible activity space for personnel.
Through the second floor of the group building, the slanted façade of the third floor expresses the beauty of the wetland with slightly reflective glass, which can reflect the beautiful scenery of the National Tsing Hua University campus, the green trees and the lake landscape.
Technology and Ecology
The northeast monsoon is strong in winter at this site. When the winter wind is strong, the twisted space of the buildings can be closed to reduce the northeast wind from passing through the atrium space, and at the same time reduce the atrium wind speed to improve the comfort of the atrium space in winter. In summer, the most space of the group building can be opened, and summer comfort can be improved by introducing the monsoon.
